CAN-BUS(FD) Shield for Raspberry Pi (MCP2518FD)
CAN-BUS(FD) Shield for Raspberry Pi (MCP2518FD) is a 2-channel shield that supports the CAN FD protocol and transmission speed up to 8Mbps. The CAN FD (Flexible Data-Rate) protocol increases the CAN’s transmission rate, improves real-time performance, and provides higher efficiency by extending user data frames. This shield is based on the MCP2518FD controller and MCP2557 CAN FD transceiver that uses the high-speed SPI interface to communicate with the Raspberry Pi. The 2-channel CAN-BUS(FD) shield uses an onboard 120Ω resistor and compatible with Raspberry Pi 2, Raspberry Pi 3, Raspberry Pi zero, and Raspberry Pi 4.
