NXP Semiconductors i.MX 8MQuad Evaluation Kit (MCIMX8M-EVK) is designed to provide a platform for evaluation and demonstration of the i.MX 8MQuad, i.MX 8MDual, and i.MX 8QuadLite Applications Processors, utilizing up to four Arm® Cortex®-A53s cores and one Cortex-M4 core. The MCIMX8M-EVK offers a brings high-performance development tool with with low power, flexible memory options, a wide range of high-speed interfaces, and industry-leading audio and video capabilities.
The i.MX 8MQuad Evaluation Kit features an HDMI out port for simple out-of-the-box bring up. Memory options on the MCIMX8M-EVK board include LPDDR4, eMMC, QSPI, and MicroSD. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi® and Bluetooth wireless, USB 3.0 connectors, a 10/100/1000 Ethernet port, and a PCIe Interface high-speed interface. For Audio and Video evaluations it offers a HDMI 2.0a Type-A and MIPI-DSI connectors, as well as 32-bit audio sampling with up to a 768kHz sampling rate, an audio interface expansion connector, and a headphone 3.5mm audio jack.
The i.MX 8M Quad EVK comes pre-installed with a boot image flashed on one eMMC memory. Android, Linux OS, and FreeRTOS board support packages are also available.
