The CR-PSS standard socket is part of ABB’s CR-P relay range which offers the highest current switching in an IP67-rated relay housing. This range comprises pluggable interface relays and optocouplers offered in 10 different control supply voltages. Additionally, gold plated contacts are available for applications where sensitive signals are to be switched. The CR-P range also includes complete versions consisting of a relay, socket, holder and functional module. As an interface, interface relays connect the electronic control level, e.g. PLC with the level of the sensors and actuators. They take on various functions: switching DC or AC voltage loads with different ohmic, inductive and capacitive components, switching in the voltage range from a few mV to 250V, switching in the current range from a few mA to 16A, amplifying weak control signals, electrical isolation of control and Load circuits as well as signal multiplication. The CR-P series has 9 different coil voltages with 1-2 changeover contacts. Two base variants are offered: standard base and logical base. Plug-in function modules such as reverse polarity protection, free-wheeling diode, LED module, RC elements, overvoltage protection or time modules expand the areas of application of the plug-in circuit board relays.
